ప్రముఖ ప్రైవేట్ టెలికాం కంపెనీ ఎయిర్‌టెల్ తన వినియోగదారులకు తేరుకోలేని షాకిచ్చింది. ఇప్పటికే అందిస్తున్న రెండు రీచార్జ్ ప్లాన్లపై మొబైల్ డేటాను తొలగించింది. ఇది గురువారం నుంచి అమల్లోకి రానుంది. వాయిస్, ఎస్ఎంఎస్‌ల కోసం ప్రత్యేకంగా రీఛార్జి ప్లాన్లు తీసుకురావాలని టెలికాం కంపెనీలకు ట్రాయ్ ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేసిన నేపథ్యంలో ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఎయిర్ టెల్ రూ.509 ప్లాన్ 84 రోజుల కాలపరిమితో వస్తోంది. ఈ రీఛార్జితో అన్‌లిమిటెడ్ వాయిస్ కాల్స్, 900 ఎస్సెమ్మెస్‌లు లభిస్తాయి.
 
అలాగే, రూ.1,999 రీఛార్జి ప్లాన్ అన్లిమిటెడ్ వాయిస్ కాల్స్, 3600 ఎస్ఎంఎస్‌లు లభిస్తాయి. ఈ ప్లాన్ 365 రోజుల వ్యాలిడిటీతో వస్తోంది. ఈ రెండు రీఛార్జి ప్లాన్లపై ఇంతకు ముందు డేటా కూడా అందించేది. తాజాగా ఆ సదుపాయాన్ని తొలగించింది. త్వరలోనే జియో కూడా అదే బాటలో పయనించే అవకాశం ఉందని తెలుస్తోంది. అది అందిస్తున్న రూ.479, రూ.1999 ప్లాన్లపై డేటా తొలగించే అవకాశం ఉందని ఓ టిప్ర్ పేర్కొన్నారు.
 
ప్రస్తుతం దాదాపు అన్ని టెలికాం కంపెనీలు వాయిస్, ఎస్సెమ్మెస్‌తో పాటు డేటా కలగలిపిన ప్లాన్లు అందిస్తున్నాయి. ఇంటర్నెట్ అవసరం లేకపోయినా తప్పనిసరి పరిస్థితుల్లో రీఛార్జి చేసుకోవాల్సిన పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది. దీంతో వాయిస్, ఎస్సెమ్మెస్‌ల కోసం ప్రత్యేకంగా రీఛార్జి ప్లాన్‌లు తీసుకురావాలని ఆయా కంపెనీలను టెలికాం నియంత్రణ సంస్థ (ట్రాయ్) తాజాగా ఆదేశించింది. స్పెషల్ టారిఫ్ ఓచర్లు తీసుకురావాలంటూ సూచించింది.
