కూరగాయలలో మునక్కాయలను ప్రేమించని వారు ఉండరు. ఎండాకాలం వచ్చిందంటే తెచ్చుకుని మరీ వండుకుని తింటారు. మునక్కాయలలో ఎన్నో పోషక విలువలు ఉన్నాయని మనకు తెలుసు. అలాగే మునగాకులో కూడా మనకు మంచి చేసే చాలా పోషక విలువలు ఉన్నాయి. వాటి గురించి మనం ఇప్పుడు తెలుసుకుందాం.  
 
మున‌గ ఆకును రోజూ ఉద‌యాన్నే ప‌ర‌గ‌డుపున తింటున్నా లేదంటే మున‌గ ఆకుల‌ను ఎండ‌బెట్టి పొడి చేసి ఆ పొడిని రోజూ తీసుకుంటున్నా అనేక మంచి ఫలితాలు కనిపిస్తాయి. మునగాకులో ప్రోటీన్లు అధికంగా ఉంటాయి. మాంసం తినని వారికి మునగాకు ప్రత్యామ్నాయంగా పనిచేస్తుంది. పాల‌క‌న్నా 17 రెట్లు ఎక్కువ కాల్షియం మ‌న‌కు మున‌గాకు ద్వారా ల‌భిస్తుంది. దీంతో ఎముక‌లు బలంగా ఉంటాయి. దంతాలు దృఢంగా త‌యార‌వుతాయి. ఎదిగే పిల్ల‌ల‌కు మంచిది. 
 
రోజుకి 7 గ్రాముల మునగాకు పొడిని మూడు నెలల పాటు క్రమం తప్పకుండా తీసుకోవడం వలన 13.5శాతం బ్లడ్‌ షుగర్‌ లెవెల్స్‌ తగ్గాయని పరిశోధనల్లో తేలింది. వీటిలో ఉండే క్లోరోజెనిక్‌ యాసిడ్‌ ద్వారా బ్లడ్‌లో షుగర్‌ లెవెల్స్‌ని నియంత్రించవచ్చు.  మునగాకులో అరటిపండ్ల కంటే 15 రెట్లు ఎక్కువ పొటాషియం ఉంటుంది. దీనితో గుండె జబ్బులు దరిచేరవు. 
 
ర‌క్త స‌ర‌ఫ‌రా కూడా మెరుగుప‌డుతుంది. థైరాయిడ్‌ను క్రమబద్ధీకరించే సహజమైన మందు మునగాకు. మునగాకులో ఎ, సి విటమిన్లు, క్యాల్షియం, పాస్ఫరస్‌, ఐరన్‌ కూడా అధికంగా ఉన్నాయి. ఐదు రకాల క్యాన్సర్లకు మునగాకు మంచి మందుగా పనిచేస్తుంది. లంగ్‌, లివర్‌, ఒవేరియన్‌, మెలానోమా వంటి క్యాన్సర్లను నిరోధించే సత్తా వీటికి ఉందని తాజా పరిశోధనల్లో తేలింది. 
 
యాంటీ ట్యూమర్‌గానూ మునగాకు పనిచేస్తుంది. మునగాకు రసాన్ని రోజూ తాగితే దృష్టి మాంద్యం, రేచీకటి తగ్గుతాయి. మునగాకులలో అమినో ఆమ్లాలు ఉండడంవల్ల మాంసకృత్తుల లోపాల వల్ల వచ్చే ఆరోగ్య సమస్యలను అధిగమించవచ్చు. గర్భీణులకు, బాలింతలకు మునగాకు రసం ఎంతో మంచిది. వారికి అవసరం అయిన క్యాల్షియం, ఐరన్‌, విటమిన్లు పుష్కలంగా లభిస్తాయి. 
 
తల్లులతోపాటు, పాలు తాగే పిల్లలు కూడా ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉంటారు. మునగాకు రసం రక్తహీనతను నివారిస్తుంది. మునగాకుల రసాన్ని పాలల్లో క‌లిపి పిల్లలకు అందిస్తే ఎముకలు బలంగా తయారవుతాయి.
